First performance:

Lefteris Papadimitriou and Marios Tsangaris, Small Music Theatre, 6th 2:13 music festival, 10 /12/2005

Program note:

Jollywood is an electronic piece by Lefteris Papadimitriou and Marios Tsangaris. It was performed on 10/12/2005 at the Greek 2:13 festival of video and experimental music. It is based entirely on the MIDI sound bank used today in any computer. It is a work with a kind of cartoon-like symphonic form in the tradition of works written especially for mechanical instruments. The lo-fi approach of the sound and the playful character is supported by the mixing of a home-made recording of the composers singing along with the music.

Jollywood, pre-recorded MIDI material (better experienced through laptop or low quality, computer loudspeakers)
